Conversations while you’re sick

Emlyn wasn’t feeling well last night and we knew we we’re in for a long night. She was up every couple of hours and wouldn’t eat well so we figured it was probably an ear infection and a sore throat. We gave her some children’s medicine and that seemed to help, but you could set your watch by the time it ran out.
At 3:00 a.m. we had out most memorable conversation. At one point I said “we should be blogging this” and Em answered “yeah we should.”
Here’s some of the best moments:
Daddy: does your throat hurt?
Em: yeah kiss it
Mommy: are you hungry?
Em: Mommy, banana, go get it
Further bossing mommy as she’s standing in the door
Em: Mommy sit down!
Emlyn realizes daddy doesn’t have a shirt on
Em: daddy’s shirt, oh no!
And finally “do you want to go back to bed”
Em: “night, night, I sleep now”
Its no fun when your baby doesn’t feel good, but you know everything’s ok when she still has the ability to make you smile.
